This spring I will set out on a 500-mile walk to trace the sources of the energy that fuels my home here in Washington, DC. The walk will serve as a period of research and development for my next project, How to Lose a Mountain and will be documented and reflected through an online component that includes a 500 Miles/500 Stories feature. This feature will allow people to follow the walk and hear stories from communities along the route.
This past weekend, I traveled with DX artist/all-around-outdoorsman Matt Mahaney to the mountains and strip mines of West Virginia to scope out a potential ending site for the walk. Check out a few photos from our trip and stay tuned for ways to get involved in the project!
