We’re so excited to have another fantastic artist from University of Maryland’s MFA program teach in our class series this spring. Jessie Laurita-Spanglet will sub in Stephanie Miracle’s Takoma Park Moves series on April 11. Class is from 6:30-8pm and costs $10.

Class description: This class will focus on invigorating the mind and body through walking, crawling, and rolling through space. We will use improvisation and simple set movement combinations to work towards a strong connection to the floor and a large appetite for movement and fun.

Originally from Charlottesville, VA, Jessie Laurita-Spanglet holds a BFA from The North Carolina School Of The Arts. For the past few years, Jessie has had the pleasure of dancing for Katharine Birdsall and The Zen Monkey Project, as well as teaching Pilates and Dance in various studios, rec centers, and arts spaces. Jessie is currently pursuing an MFA in Dance at The University of Maryland.
