Perform with Dance Exchange!

Click here to see an excerpt from a 2006 performance of Still Crossing, performed at Dance Exchange's 30th Anniversary Celebration.

As part of the culmination of New Hampshire Ave: This Is a Place To… , Dance Exchange is inviting its community and its neighbors along New Hampshire Ave to perform in a site-specific performance on July 18. Join a cast of all ages and backgrounds in performing the iconic final section of Liz Lerman’s landmark work, Still Crossing, as part of an event to celebrate the past, present, and future of New Hampshire Ave.

Originally performed in 1986 at the foot of the Statue of Liberty, Still Crossing brings together artists and community members of all ages and backgrounds to explore our own journeys and intersections: Where do we come from? What do we leave behind? What do we carry with us?
This is a performing opportunity that is open to people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities! No previous experience necessary, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for families!

In order to perform with us, you must commit to the following:
