Attire: Fancy and fun!  Come ready to celebrate and participate.  We will be using our dance studios as our primary party spaces, so all guests will be asked to remove their shoes to protect the studio floors.  But don’t worry- we are asking you to kick off your shoes and have a great time and we will be providing special celebration socks for everyone to make sure that you do!

Location: Dance Exchange is located at 7117 Maple Avenue in Takoma Park, MD.  Dance Exchange studios are handicap accessible.

Parking: Parking is available at the Takoma Park Metro station.  We have also secured parking at nearby buildings and apartment complexes for our party goers.  On-street parking will be limited the night of the gala.  Additional parking information will be sent with your ticket purchase.

Public Transportation: Dance Exchange is located just a few blocks from the Takoma Station stop on the Metro Red line.  We are also served by a number of WMATA bus lines and the Montgomery County Ride On bus service.

Food and drink: We will be serving light dinner fare and there will be a bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages available. Please inform the food servers upon arrival of any food allergies.

sponsor circle-websiteDance Exchange’s 40th Anniversary Gala host committee is chaired by Erica Bondarev Rapach, Associate Executive Director at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland.  Our celebration will feature archives of the organization’s signature dance experiences and will bring together Dance Exchange’s artists, alumni, and supporters from across four decades of creativity and dancemaking.  The evening will open the door to Dance Exchange’s fifth decade and the continuation of innovative creative practices and collaborations to advance how individuals and communities come together through process and performance to reflect and create change in the world.
