The Dance Exchange opens its doors (and studio space!) to local dance teachers to spread their knowledge and love of dance to our community. Below are the classes currently being offered at the Dance Exchange.

Creative Movement / Pre-Ballet Fall 2011 Schedule
Saturdays (12-week session) $144
September 17-December 17 (no class 10/8 and 11/26)
8:45 – 9:30, 3 yr olds
9:30 – 10:15, 4 yr olds

11:15 – 12, k-2
Tuesdays (7 week sessions) $84

2 – 2:45, 4-5 yr olds
The goal of this creative movement/pre-ballet program is to provide a positive and fun introduction to dance. Using images from nature and the children’s world we explore how our bodies move through space, incorporating music and rhythm. Clothing and Shoes
Please wear whatever is comfortable to move in.
We ask everyone to remove their shoes before entering the dance studios, and we provide cubbies outside of the studios for storing your shoes and other belongings.

Metro
Take the Red Line to Takoma. Exit the Metro station and continue straight on Carroll Avenue. At the second stop light, take a left on Maple Avenue. Dance Exchange is half a block down on your right. Come around to the back of the building.
Parking
There is a small parking lot behind our building as well as metered parking spots in front of the Dance Exchange studio. You can park along Maple Avenue and in the surrounding neighborhood, but be mindful of the parking restrictions, as you may be ticketed.
