Susan has danced from a childhood on a farm to Midwestern city life, from student to working professional and back to student, from office administrator and “princess of payables” to dancer, poet and artist, and is still in search of ways to integrate all of these interests, skills and questions. Prior to her arrival in Takoma Park, Susan was a Frances Perkins Scholar at Mount Holyoke College, graduating with a B.A. in Dance and a Thematic Minor in Memory. While in western Massachusetts she also participated in intensive trainings in Contemplative Dance/Authentic Movement. Susan loves being an aunt. Her favorite mode of transportation is walking. She is sometimes a runner, always a baker and a writer of letters. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Dance Exchange’s welcome of all who are or wish to consider themselves a dancer.
