MFG Discover: The Microscopic World with Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Guides:

Headshot of Ranger Natrieifia Miller smiling and crossing her arms in a beige uniform with patches. Blurred green hills stretch out behind her.
Closeup of Carter, a young boy who wears a patterned bow tie and smiles at camera in front of a white backdrop with blurry orbs of light.
Closeup of Cassie Meador with head turned slightly and red hair pulled back in a ponytail as she smiles beneath a leafy tree branch.

There is so much to notice when we use our senses to explore nature, and there’s even more that we might not be able to see right away or notice on our own! In this video, join Choreographer Cassie Meador with Ranger Natrieifia Miller and her friend Carter as they discover some of the smallest living things, called nematodes, rotifers and tardigrades.

Natrieifia Miller is a ranger with Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Explore the park even more with SmokiEEEs @ Home, which connects students of all ages to Great Smoky Mountains National Park from their own homes and communities.
