Explore the impact of Dance On

For 45 years, asking big questions has been a central part of what we do at Dance Exchange. Who gets to dance? Where does the dancing happen? What is it about? Why does it matter? Over the past year, we’ve been asking a few additional questions, too: What is the impact of our work? How do we measure that impact?

Thanks to the Metrics, Outcomes, and Responsible Evaluation (MORE) training from Nonprofit Montgomery, Dance Exchange has strengthened our ability to evaluate and share the impact of our work, and we’re thrilled to share our new program spotlight that shares the reach and impact of our Dance On creative aging program.

In this report, you’ll find exciting insights like the fact that after our Dance On Festival, 70% of attendees who completed our survey felt strongly that they could confidently engage in creative aging practices and programming, compared to just 39% before. Or that 75% of the 2020-21 Dance On Organizing with Artists for Change Cohort members felt strongly that they were prepared to work in the field of creative aging.

Check out the program spotlight below and learn about ways you can get involved in the Dance On program.
