Future Fields receives National Endowment for the Arts funding

Four people smile broadly at camera as they stand outdoors. Other people appear behind them among wooden benches, grass, and surrounding trees.

Dance Exchange is thrilled to announce that we've received $10,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts for Future Fields, a performance project that explores how food is, or could be, grown and experienced in a changing world. Co-led by Dance Exchange Executive Artistic Director Cassie Meador and Partnering Artists Dr. Jamē McCray and Christina Catanese, the project will unfold at three locations in the United States (one urban, one suburban, and one rural), centering the ways different landscapes and communities are navigating climate change.

Future Fields is among 1,498 projects across America totaling nearly $33.2 million that were selected by the NEA to receive this first round of fiscal year 2022 funding.

Learn more about the project and stay tuned for opportunities to connect with Future Fields in the months ahead!
